We adopted our dog Zeus 5 months ago from the shelter. He is a beautiful black lab who had the saddest eyes in the world. He was rescued from people who had abused him so badly and although he is only two, he has had a lifetime of cruelty. He was so afraid when we brought him home and seeing him afraid of everything and everyone would always bring tears to my eyes. Today though, he wags his tail, gives us big slobbery kisses and the fear in his eyes is replaced by love and trust. We all love him so much and I am honoring him, as he has gone through so much, yet still held love in his heart for the next family to come along. He is my hero.
Darrel to participate you need to send us a story. You have until Sunday to do it. Catherine
