January Dog Contest – Win a $100.00 Gift Card from Amazon
-
The APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) has declared January “Dog Training Month”.I think this is awesome. So many dogs each year are abandoned in shelters because their owners were not able to cope with their behavior or did not realize the money and energy needed to raise a healthy, well balanced dog.
In the spirit of January Dog Training Month, I will be giving away a $100.00 gift card from Amazon to a lucky dog owner.
Training your dog is part of being a responsible dog owner. Often the dreaded word” Training “can be fun and is a great way to connect, bond and get to know your dog.Training techniques and our knowledge of dog behaviors have evolved. The dog world is truly a fascinating world. As non verbal communicators, dogs display a whole range of facial expressions and body language. They talk to us all the time and we often ignore them.It is our responsibility as dog owners to educate ourself so we can actively take part in training our dogs.Understanding your dog better will lead to better training and you will end up with a well behave canine friend you can truly take anywhere with you.So how can you win a $100.00 git card from Amazon?
Simply Subscribe for my newsletter: “You and Your Dog Beyond Training” between January 18th 2010 and January 31st 2010 before midnight.

I just signed up for your newsletter. I do not have a dog as yet, I am still deciding which dog to get. But I thought if I read your newsletter, I would start out on the the right foot from the beginning. Thank you.

Great contest! My rescue Pekingese, Tank, licks his nose a LOT! He also licks me a LOT! I can’t identify any stress causing this, although it does increase when he is feeling jealous of my two other Pekes. Any ideas on what might be causing this, and more importantly how to get him to stop? Thanks : )

About a year ago, my wife and I adopted a rescue pup. Ivy is the first pet we have had in several years after losing our first, a beagle to old age. I had forgotten what an impact a loving pet has on our lives. I am looking forward to your newsletter.

Look into the folding skin by his nose. He could have an infection caused by moisture from drinking water. You could wash it with soapy water but if it is an infection I would contact the vet.
