It Was Love at First Sight and I Knew She Had to be Mine.

Mysti

It was love at first sight and I knew she had to be mine.

I was working for my local Humane Society when I first saw her. I was working the front desk when a gentlemen walked through the door with Stella (now known as Mystical Skye) a Pit Bull mix. I immediately knelt down and called her to me, she was nervous yet came to me straight away and we bonded instantly.
As the kind man was filling out the paperwork he stated that he didn’t know much about her, in fact he was signing her over for someone else. All he knew was her owner was going to dump her out in the streets, too lazy to bring her to an animal shelter. Mysti never made it to a dog run. She was so well behaved, she was housebroken, loved children, loved other animals (even cats), loved car rides, and she was as sweet as she could possibly be.
Just the all around perfect dog. She became my shadow.
She went to work with me everyday, her job was to socialize other dogs. She loved her job and was great at it.

It’s still so hard for me to believe anyone would give her up for any reason. Nine years has since past. We have retired from the Humane Society and I got married and had a child. Mysti has been my closest companion for ten years. She has gone just about everywhere with me and done just about everything with me.

Things have changed a lot for her over the years but her life has and always will be grand. She loves her new family and even though she is incredibly attached to me she loves going places and doing fun things with my husband (her new daddy) and her sisters.

She has a fur sister, Katie Bug who is a Lab mix and a human sister, 3 yr. old Sydney.

Mysti and I have had a great life together and we hope for many more years to cherish.
